Laurensia Enrichment Center (LEC) was established in 2003. This center was originally created to assist Santa Laurensia parents by providing wholesome age-appropriate learning programs that feature fun and relevant activities for children, scheduled after regular school hours. Keeping parents’ convenience in mind, the center’s original location was in the Mother Theresa Hall, within Santa Laurensia School. A language course teaching Mandarin as a second language was the first program ever offered.
Starting 2010 and onwards, LEC is in a separate building of its own, styled like a house within the Santa Laurensia compound. The center has grown significantly and now offers nine programs for children that enrich learning, varying from language enrichment programs like Mandarin and English courses to martial arts such as Taekwondo and Wushu. Courses pertaining to the arts are offered too, e.g. Speech and Drama, and Ballet.
The dream of becoming a one-stop, all-in-one-roof center of children’s programs assisting parents who want to offer more to their children is close to being a reality.
